Harrison School District 2 has been selected to participate in a “digital equity” pilot program for districts that enroll high percentages of children from low-income families and minorities.

The Alliance for Excellent Education recently launched the new Future Ready Schools Digital Equity Program, which provides districts with resources, leadership strategies and other support to improve digital learning strategies.

Harrison D-2 is one of 12 districts nationwide to be selected for the program.

School districts were chosen based on showing commitment to modernize schools, support teachers and identify contemporary learning opportunities that engage students and improve academic achievement.

This pilot program was launched with support from a $300,000 donation from AT&T.

The Alliance for Excellent Education is a Washington, D.C.-based national policy, practice and advocacy organization that focuses on ensuring all students graduate from high school ready for college or the work force.
