Colorado Springs man accused of hitting Jeep, ejecting passenger in road-rage incident
A 33-year-old Colorado Springs man was arrested over the weekend after a road rage incident in the Security-Widefield area, according to Colorado State Patrol.
State Patrol said William Rhea is suspected of two counts of attempted first-degree murder after he "intentionally" rammed a Silver Nissan into a red Jeep repeatedly. The encounter - reported just after midnight Saturday - started on Main Street from Leta Drive and continued to Main Street and Holly Drive, where both vehicles came to a stop.
"During the collision the right front passenger of the Jeep was ejected out," State Patrol said in a report, adding that both the driver and passenger suffered injuries.
State Patrol did not say what led to the suspected road rage.
