Renewing vehicle registrations should be less time consuming for El Paso County residents in the near future.

Two renewal kiosks are expected to open in coming months at the Citizens Service Center at 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road and the county clerk and recorder's Union Town Center office at 8830 N. Union Blvd.

The ATM-style kiosks will allow citizens to update their vehicle tags 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Currently, drivers can apply for renewals online, in-person at a Clerk and Recorder's Office location, or via mail or phone.

County Clerk Chuck Broerman plans to add more kiosks in the future, near Powers Boulevard and Airport Road at 5650 Industrial Place and another at Centennial Hall at 200 S. Cascade Ave.
